When eating feels hard for your child
and for you

Nutritional Support for children and young people

If mealtimes are a source of stress in your home — if your child refuses most foods, reacts strongly to textures, or the table feels like a battleground — you're not alone, and it doesn't have to stay this way.

You're in the right place if your child

Feels anxious about trying anything new, or panics when their usual foods aren't available

Has a diagnosis (such as autism, ADHD or a developmental condition) that affects their relationship with food

Has digestive issues, low energy, or nutritional gaps that concern you

Eats a very limited range of foods - fewer than 20 different foods

Our approach

At Nourish Your Ability, we support children and young people who find eating genuinely difficult. Whether your child is a selective eater, has sensory sensitivities around food, or is showing signs of anxiety at mealtimes, our approach is gentle, practical, and built around what works for your whole family.

Robyn Millar is a Certified Practicing Nutritionist (CPN) and qualified counsellor with more than 10 years of clinical practice — and over 20 years in the disability sector. That combination matters. It means she can work with the whole child: the nutritional gaps, the sensory sensitivities, and the anxiety that often sits underneath difficult eating behaviours.

Every child is different, and so is every family. We don't use a one-size-fits-all approach, and there's no pressure to take on more than feels right for you right now. Support is available in-clinic or via Zoom.

Nourish Your Ability works with self-funded families and those accessing support through the NDIS.

How we can help

We offer two structured programs for children, and individual consultations for families who prefer a more flexible approach. All support begins with an initial health and nutrition review so Robyn can understand your child's full picture before recommending next steps.

Brave Bites
A food sensory awareness and eating behaviour program for children aged 4–9

A gentle 10-session program for children who find eating tricky. Hands-on, fun, and designed to build food confidence through curiosity — not pressure. Available in-clinic or via Zoom.

Nourish & Explore
An eating behaviour program for young people aged 9–15

A 10-session program combining hands-on food activities with evidence-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Helps young people build a confident, healthy relationship with food at their own pace. Available in-clinic or via Zoom.

Individual consultations

Not ready for a program, or not sure which path is right? That's completely fine.

Individual nutrition consultations offer flexible, one-to-one support without the commitment of a structured program. You can start with an initial health and nutrition review, and go from there at a pace that works for your family.
